As usualy he was born – in 1982.
Soon he was interested in music and in the early 90s he listened to kraftwerk, a little discostuff, italo pop, some hiphop music…
but the reason for being in electronic music was a classical music from TOMITA from japan with its work “BILDER EINER AUSSTELLUNG“.
He liked its full synthetic sound made with pre-modern electronic instruments.
He was young – not older than 11 years – and tried to make sounds with his AMIGA 500, a 20mb harddiskdrive and a special audiocard which was conacted with the parallelport of the computer and gave the AMIGA 1 Stereo output.
The results were not very got – but he liked it.
He goes on, bought his first records and tried to save money for 2 turntables and a mixer.
And soon he got the things.
His first gig was in 1996 in MUSIK FABRIK in PIRNA/GERMANY where MIJK VAN DIJK, WESTBAM, HARDSEQUENCER now known as HARDY HARD and even JEFF MILLS had played.
The event that wasn’t really an event, was a schoolparty before holidays – his classmades didn’t like the sound very much – maybe cause THOMAS SCHUMACHERS SCHALL was 3 years later in the charts. Nobody knows really.
But he goes on. He played on several underground parties around PIRNA, PILLNITZ and DRESDEN.
AND HE NEVER STOPPED LOVING ELECTRONIC MUSIC!
When he got his first real PC he started making music with REBIRTH 338 – everybody should know.
Because he never really had the money to get a fucking machine like a real 909 or 303 so he had to use virtual machines.
And everything changed in 2001 when ABLETON presented its first version of LIVE. It was great, it seemed to be a real party machine – and it was one.
In 2003 BASSART tried his first live gig – with his home computer, ABLETON LIVE and the DOEPFER DREHBANK – still a great thing.
Not passing any thought about that the music around became faster and faster he played his sound with 130bpm. But the people in Dresden didn’t like that. They want it faster and harder, but he didn’t do.
So some of the Club owners didn’t like him, even he rocked with his sound some of the biggest parties under his earlier name – BASTARD (now known as bassart) – together with his dj-partner at the time elssbeth. And so he played his sound and it doesn’t matter what some of the others thought.
And so he did it – at the so called GROTTE in LOCKWITZGRUND/DREDSEN – STRASSE E – GERMAN CLUB!!!
…A LOT OF THINGS HAPPENED…
But now he is in Tyrol/Austria and will find what he is locking for!
Maybe as a DJ, maybe as a LIVEACT. NOBODY KNOWS – BUT WHO KNOWS THE FUTURE:)
